Veterinarians: your document in 30 seconds, in the language of your consultation

Consultation, Follow-up, and Owner letter: dictate or paste what was said, and Notae structures the document in your own vocabulary. You review it, validate it, and send it.

Between consultations and owners who want a written follow-up, writing up the summary for each animal examined takes time a veterinary clinic's schedule rarely allows. Notae turns what was said and observed during the consultation into a structured document, without ever inventing a diagnosis, a treatment, or a dosage.

Three formats, your vocabulary

A veterinarian Notae account only sees these three formats — never the formats or vocabulary reserved for another profession, and vice versa.

  • Consultation — Reason for the visit (as reported by the owner), history (relevant background, if mentioned), clinical exam (observations, vitals), working hypotheses (only if stated by the practitioner, otherwise "to be specified"), and treatment prescribed (if mentioned).
  • Follow-up — Progress since the last visit (as reported), today's exam (observations), response to treatment (tolerance, effect observed), and adjustments and next step.
  • Owner letter — What was observed, home treatment to follow (frequency, duration — if mentioned), warning signs to watch for, and the next deadline.

Before / after, on an example

What you dictate at the end of the exchange:

"what brings you in with Rex today? he's been limping on his back leg for two days, he's a bit less active — let's examine him, there's tenderness in the left knee, no visible swelling, I'm prescribing an anti-inflammatory for five days and rest — if it doesn't improve, we'd do an x-ray"

What Notae produces (Consultation format):

Reason for visit : limping on the back leg for two days, reduced activity reported by the owner.

Clinical exam : tenderness in the left knee, no visible swelling.

Working hypotheses : to be specified (no diagnosis stated beyond the exam).

Treatment prescribed : anti-inflammatory for five days, rest; x-ray considered if no improvement.

To be validated by the practitioner.

Frequently asked questions

Does Notae diagnose the animal?

No, never. Notae reports what was observed and said during the consultation; a diagnosis appears only if the veterinarian explicitly stated it, with no invented treatment or dosage.

Does a veterinarian account see formats meant for other professions?

No. Every Notae account has a profession chosen at signup. A veterinarian account only sees the formats and vocabulary specific to their profession; it has no access to any format or text reserved for another profession (for example a accountant), and vice versa.

Does information about your clients and their animals stay confidential?

Yes. Documents stay in your secure account; you decide whether to send them to the owner or a colleague.
