Hearing & eye care professionals: your document in 30 seconds, in the language of your assessment
Assessment, Fitting, and Follow-up / referral: dictate or paste what was said, and Notae structures the document in your own vocabulary. You review it, validate it, and send it.
Between hearing or vision assessments and fitting adjustments, precisely noting the thresholds measured and the changes made takes time a practice's pace rarely allows. Notae turns what was measured and said during the assessment into a structured document, without ever inventing a figure or a correction that wasn't given.
Three formats, your vocabulary
A hearing aid specialist Notae account only sees these three formats — never the formats or vocabulary reserved for another profession, and vice versa.
- Assessment — Reason for consultation (reported concern), relevant history (if mentioned), measurement results (thresholds, acuity — only the figures given, "to be completed" otherwise), practitioner's conclusion (as stated, without a new medical diagnosis), and proposal (fitting, correction, referral).
- Fitting — Equipment proposed (type, settings — if mentioned), trial conducted (feelings reported by the patient), adjustments made, usage recommendations, and next appointment.
- Follow-up / referral — Progress since the last assessment (as reported), current results (if measured), tolerance to the device or correction, and proposed next step (renewal, adjustment, medical referral).
Before / after, on an example
What you dictate at the end of the exchange:
"how has wearing the device been for the past two weeks? much better in conversation, but I still hear poorly in noise — let's adjust the setting for noisy environments, try it now — yes, that's clearer — we'll keep this setting and check in again in a month"
What Notae produces (Fitting format):
Trial conducted : device worn for two weeks, clear improvement in conversation, persistent difficulty in noisy environments.
Adjustments made : setting changed for noisy environments, tested during the visit and reported as clearer.
Usage recommendations : keep the current setting.
Next appointment : in one month, to check adaptation.
To be validated by the practitioner.

Frequently asked questions
Does Notae invent measurement results?
No, never. Notae only reports the figures and thresholds explicitly given during the assessment; a medical diagnosis appears only if already made by someone else and stated as such.
Does a hearing aid specialist account see formats meant for other professions?
No. Every Notae account has a profession chosen at signup. A hearing aid specialist account only sees the formats and vocabulary specific to their profession; it has no access to any format or text reserved for another profession (for example a real estate agent), and vice versa.
Is professional confidentiality respected for hearing and vision assessments?
Yes. Documents stay in your encrypted account; you decide whether to send them to the patient or the referring doctor.
